I'm learning to make HTML lists, so I'll summarize why I'm happy right now:

• I don't have to wake up at 4:30 AM like I usually do on Tuesday mornings

• I won a music contest! (details soon)

• I had a fun time hanging out with my friends tonight at Florent restaurant in the meat-packing district...Streetlights illuminating the fog...mist-soaked cobblestones... groaning tugboats and seagulls squawking...little pools of blood...hooves strewn about...Oh!

• Mother-in-law sending us check for air conditioner which we can spend on crack

• My album got a nice review in a webzine (no link--that'd give away my secret identity!)
