Stupid journalism tricks: I get CNN's headline alerts e-mailed to me. This morning's subject header was, "All-Out Assault Planned!" which turns out to be linked to this story about the Colorado wild fires.

Between this and the New York dailies blubbering over the death of their big hero, it's enough to put me off papers for a while.
