Velocette Records has done the world a favor by releasing two very scrumptious CDs. Beulah, an "Elephant 6" band who never really impressed me previously, has come up with some wonderful songs for their new record The Coast is Never Clear. The songs are focussed, the playing is really tasteful but not wimpy. See what happens when you mispell "Beulah" as "Beaulah" and type it into your address bar...

The other good Velocette band is the Glands: sloppy melodic emotional rockin' mightiness--and a lead guitarist who actually plays solos. Can't find a web presence for them.
