It's official. The smartest person on the planet is Norah Vincent. I don't agree with everything she says, but she makes good horse-sense most of the time, she isn't a damn cliche and she seems gentlemanly, not like this new breed of self-absorbed rogue columnists that one reads everywhere nowadays.

Corrections Update: I've read two whole pages so far, and haven't had time to go back to it. It's a hefty tome, and I'm naturally apalled by carrying heavy things. It's what has prevented me from reading The Power Broker, even in paperback!
