Disjointed

While the US was bombing Afghanistan yesterday, I was sitting in front of the computer looking for jobs. Little rays of hope, little disarrays of despair, interrupted by the occasional absurd request to "sign" a petition about Afghani women. People, please: I think the US government knows that the Taliban are the bad guys by now....Hence the bombs, y'see.

Took a short break to have brunch at a bustling little dim sum place in our neighborhood, joined by our friends Harriette and Bernard and two of their very nice friends. It was a cordial, happy brunch. I need to socialize more.
