Gee whiz, another perfect day. Woke up early and went to the Owl's Head Park dog run w/Coney. Pure bliss, walking over hill and dale with the pooch on a leafy sunny late-summer Sunday, then letting him run wild and loose in the park.

Later, I took a Bikram class...then came home and had a BBQ with Krupa, Birdie and their li'l son Ainsley...Having a three-year-old running around the house is not unlike having a new puppy, except that a slightly larger fraction of what we say to Ainsley is actually understood. Ainsley and Coney got along pretty well.

Later Fred C Dobbs dropped by, looking all fresh and hale after his month in Virginia.

Crossing to Safety is a stunner, a poignant portrait of a four-cornered friendship, mostly taking place in academia, making it a fitting back-to-school week read.
