I am beginning to think this war may end quickly, that maybe we will really oust Saddam , and maybe there will have been a point to all this. I am also wondering if, despite all his other devious reasons for wanting this war, Bush really has his mind set on fulfilling his father's broken promise to the Iraqi people to get rid of Saddam Hussein. I don't like the president either, but it's possible he has a shred of conscience.

Monkey wants Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld to be tried for war crimes. I approve of this, too.

Now that Michael Jackson is out of the news, we need someone to ostracize and compare ourselves favorably to, so why not the former mayor of Waterbury?

Watched Truffaut's The Wild Child last night--an involving true story of a feral child found in France in the late 1700s. Fascinatin'. It is a straightforward telling of the story, that neither criticizes nor sentimentalizes civilization and its discontents.

Who knew Truffaut (who plays the doctor who takes the boy under his wing and civilizes him) was such a babe?!

Took Coney to his namesake beach this morning to romp in the ocean. Heaven!
