Bummer. But what no one has explained to me, satisfactorily, is why chimps (and puppies and some kittens and penguins) are cuter than human babies. Why does the sight of a vulnerable baby animal elicit the maternal/paternal "awww" response, even in people who wouldn't look twice at a baby?
